Problem installing C&C Generals
I try to install C&C Generals, but when it is configuring windows installer it gives error 1608: unable to create installdriver instance. I have windows 2000 and at the moment no service packs installed.

I have windows 2000 and at the moment no service packs installed. I also tried with service pack 1 and 3 but same problem. Could someone tell me what to do??

You could try installing the Windows Installer 2.0 update, but that is included in SP3. Are you trying to install with Administrator rights?

When I downloaded Windows Installer 2.0 and started to install it said that it already exists on my computer.. And this has only one account which has administrator rights so it shouldn't be the problem.
