Problem with asus p4p800 deluxe and infrared serial port
This is a discussion about Problem with asus p4p800 deluxe and infrared serial port in the Everything New Technology category; I try to configure an infrared port serial on a motherboard asus p4p800 deluxe but after i have installed the drivers correctly,when i choose the com1 where the device is connected the pc reboot automatically and in the menu of hardware device the infrared is not correctly installed.

The drivers are correctly for windows xp professional, what do you think is the problem??? thank you for all response.

I'm not sure but are not com2 ports used for ir and in the bios you can setup what com2 is used for.
