Hi there,
I'm running Windows NT 4.0 and can't play Diablo, the first game. I get a black screen which exits to desktop and an error message appears about some sound problem. Here it is:
---------------------------------------------
Direct sound error (C:\Src\Diablo\Source\SOUND.CPP:375)
The parameter is incorrect
---------------------------------------------
I saw on the site that Diablo runs under NT, and in fact I even got DII - Lord of Destruction. Bw, there is no C:\Src\Diablo path on the hard drive at all.
I tested the game on another PC running NT and the same error msg appears. Plz help!
Thanks in advance!

Its trying to initialise a DirectSound device but since NT4 had no DirectSound drivers its bombing out. Does Diablo have a facility to change the sound output from DirectSound to the Wave Mapper?
OP
I don't have an idea, but it looks like there's no way to change sound output. Possible solutions, anyone?
Which Service Pack are you running? Install SP6a.
