Problems with Sracraft on and offline

Okay, here is what happens. I'll play for a little while, usually 10-20 minutes and then the music will start to glitch and a minute or two after that it will freeze up. Sometimes I can hit crtl-alt-delete and get out of it, sometimes I have to completely shut my comp off.

Okay, here is what happens. I'll play for a little while, usually 10-20 minutes and then the music will start to glitch and a minute or two after that it will freeze up. Sometimes I can hit crtl-alt-delete and get out of it, sometimes I have to completely shut my comp off. Other times, my computer will jsut minimize the program all together and when I go to maximize it, it will not let me. If I hit ctrl-alt-dlt then, it tells me that the program is not responding.

This also happens VERY VERY occassionally offline.

It also happens more frequently in games with more units and things goign on.

My computer is as follows

-Asus P5n32-E-SLI nforce680i SLI Socket 1333MHz DDR2-800 ATX Motherboard

-Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe Processor 2.4GHz, 1066FSB, 4MB cache

-Geforce 8800 GTS 640mb

-Corsair twin 2GB kit Xtreme Performance Memory

-Zalman CNPS9500 AT cooler

-Seagate Barracuda 500GB HD

-GameXStream 850W power supply

- Microsoft XP Professional Edition

Nice setup you've got there. Have you tried running starcraft in compatability mode with windows 95? That sometimes fixes problems with older games.

I noticed you have the same motherboard, processor and video card that I have.

For the P5N32-E SLI you need to make sure that your running the latest bios. 0801 I believe?

Also if your overclocking....and probably even if your not. You need to up the voltage on your NorthBridge and your processor.

Doing these 3 things made my computer rock solid in stability.

Oh, also make sure that you've updated Starcraft to the latest ver. I believe a patch game out yesterday.
