I actually havent had a harddrive long enough to actually test this but I was wondering what happens when its used alot. I myself am constantly moving data around and reformatting.
Hey all you guys with harddrive experience. I actually havent had a harddrive long enough to actually test this but I was wondering what happens when its used alot. I myself am constantly moving data around and reformatting. Plus I dont have much ram right now so it is swapping constantly. Does this degrade the drive? how long will it last? I have a 14 gig western digital drive. How tough are they?

the drive itself has the avg. life time in hours of the ur HD written on it.
