question about norton recycle bin

Could someone please tell me if it is possible for files to get into Norton Recycle bin if my computer was off? I was looking in the unerase wizard and noticed that there were files in there that were accessed on a date which I was not home.

I was looking in the unerase wizard and noticed that there were files in there that were accessed on a date which I was not home. I am trying to cut down on people using my computer but I think someone used it - but didnt actually dial up to the internet.
