Question about S-Video

Assuming I have a video card(Voodoo3 3000) with an S-video connector to an RCA cable that is plugged into a television. . . is it possible to boot up w/o a monitor plugged in, and see the screen on the TV? I hope that makes sense.

I hope that makes sense...basically I'm wanting to know if I can take this computer that I'm building to some strangers house that has no computer, plug my S-video into the VCR or TV, and see it immediately, or if I'll need a monitor as well.

Yes you can do that.

You have to make the NTSC TV as the primary display from Display Properites.

That all there is to it.

OP
just thought I'd update.

I ended up getting an ATI All-In-Wonder 128 for the same price as the V3..

I plugged the composite into a tv, booted, and it worked fine
