RC2, bluescreens and no Outlook Express!
This is a discussion about RC2, bluescreens and no Outlook Express! in the Windows Software category; Just installed a fresh RC2, but had the following issues occur: 1) Almost through installation, I come back to my computer showing a nice lovely BSOD. This was even before I had got it running yet.
Just installed a fresh RC2, but had the following issues occur:
1) Almost through installation, I come back to my computer showing a nice lovely BSOD. This was even before I had got it running yet.
So, restarted the machine, XP started all nicely as all the other builds I've tried out.
About two hours later, tried to start Outlook Express. It reports an error with the msimn.exe for OE and closes it???!!!
Also, on a secondary matter, I was playing FIFA 2001, which was fine in itself, until it came to saving the game. Saves okay, but I can't continue back to the game. Have to drop to the desktop and shut it down.
I'm just wondering if all this has anything to do with the earlier bluescreen during install/first startup?
System:
Athlon 1.2 Ghz (266 FSB)
Abit KT7-A RAID
640Mb RAM
Elsa Gladiac Geforce 3
SB Live 5.1
3com 10/100 NIC (x2)
Hope you technical wizards can figure it out before I trash this install and try again.
