really dumb question (video card)

This is a discussion about really dumb question (video card) in the Windows Hardware category; i'm having problems playing certain games & need to find out what type of video card i have. my pc is a dell dimension 4500 with winxp home edition. where to i find out what video card i have? ;(.

Go to Start, then RUN. Type DXDIAG and hit enter. Then hit the display tab, it will tell you there.

On a side note, you can view all of your PC's hardware by going to Device Manager, you can access by going to Control Panel, click the System icon, and then click the hardware tab, and then finally click the Device Manager button. Alternatively just right click My Computer and select properties.

Or, the fatsest way. Rght click my computer>manage. then click device manager.
