Red Alert 2 Install Problems, please help
Right yes another install thread, I have tried changing compatability on the setup's yet it doesn't help. I can't get it to work, yet the Yuri's revenge disc loads past the install to the point it recognises RA2 wasn't installed and cancelled the install.

Silly me, the problem is that it comes up with the windows error with the send/dont send option.
I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me with this problem, I'm using XP Pro.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Installed the programs on my little brothers PC, transfered the files over to mine. Yuri's revenge will work, though the others wont, any ideas?
Also in skirmish on Yuri, it automatically kills you after about a minute and a half. Any help please, thanks.

ya i lost my cd key so now i can't go on red alert 2 any more and i was wondering if i could get one off one of u guys
I saw alot of posts on this site an many other sites trying to figure out how to make
Red Alert 2 work on Windows XP, and I spent hours trying to make mine work.
I figured it out by accident!
Try this and tell me if it works for you, and if it does work for you, please share it on other message boards as well, I'm trying to tell everyone I can.
Heres what I did:
1) Right click on the cd rom drive that the disk is in, then open the cd rom directory.
2) Right click on setup icon and autoplay icon and set the compatibility to windows 95.
3) Double click on setup icon and click on everything to install.
4) When it's done installing, tell it to go to windows, and not to run the game other wise it will try to run and then crash!
5) Right click on the RA2 desktop icon and set the compatibility to Windows 95.
6) Now here's the accident I found....Right click on the RA2 desktop icon again, and click on RUN AS, now uncheck the thing that says protect my computer and data..
Tell me if its works for you!
It did for me.
