Red Alert 2 Problems

HI GUYS, I HAVE A PROBLEM REGARDING RED ALERT 2. . . IT RUNS ON WINDOWS NT VER 4. 0 BUT NOT IN WIN2000. . . IT GIVES ERROR AS FOLLOWS: *****FATAL***** STRING NOT INITIALISED. . . CAN ANY ONE HELP ME.
