I've been playing RA2 with the Yuri's Revenge expansion set on my machine for a long time, and recently I discovered some problems. I tried to fix the problems by re-installing, and now not only do the problems remain, I can't install Yuri's Revenge at all.
 
In the "Skirmish" mode, I can't use the Random Map Editor at all - it's just plain gone. When I click on the "Random Map" button I get the screen for starting a battle. I can play the game using the default maps.
 
I've also noticed that the "bars" which set the number of units, starting credits, and difficulty level are all off-center. And if you click on "Game Options" while playing (you have to pause the game to do this) you see the same problem with the adjustment "bars" there as well.
 
I'm completely stumped. Like I mentioned before I tried patching (I have v. 1.006) and re-installing with no luck. Any suggestions? I'm running Win2k 5.00.2194 SP4.
