C&C: Red Alert using IPX on windows 2000
Ive got 2 machines on a peer-to-peer network, one running win2kpro, and the other win98. When arriving at the multiplayer menu in Red Alert - on the win2kpro pc - I dont get the 'network' option, which the manual blames on faulty/absent ipx drivers.

When arriving at the multiplayer menu in Red Alert - on the win2kpro pc - I dont get the 'network' option, which the manual blames on faulty/absent ipx drivers. However, the ipx drivers are definitely installed. On the win98 machine, I get no problem with setting up a lan game. Ive tried absolutely everything: changing the framesize, installing Netware client software, reinstalling Red Alert, double checked protocol bindings, etc....
Having looked through all the threads here on the problematic subject of win2k and ipx, im beginning to think that this implementation of ipx is seriously flawed.
Note: Red Alert does not support tcp/ip.
