reformatted pc=problem with directx!!!!
This is a discussion about reformatted pc=problem with directx!!!! in the Everything New Technology category; When i tried to run the sims 2 game i get this error message: Failed to find any DirectX9. 0c compatible graphic adapters in the system!Please make sure that you have compatible graphic adapters and have installed the latest driver.
When i tried to run the sims 2 game i get this error message:
"Failed to find any DirectX9.0c compatible graphic adapters in the system!Please make sure that you have compatible graphic adapters and have installed the latest driver..."
But before i reformatted my pc,it was ok.I believe that the problem comes from the fact that i reformatted my pc.I already downloaded and installed directx but it does not appear in the dxdiag!!!Please help!!

Which Windows OS are you running, I'm assuming XP but wanted to make sure.
Also, if you click on the START button and then select RUN and at the Open line type in dxdiag and click OK, does this bring up the DirectX Diagnostic Tool ???
If so, what version does it show ???
Then the final thing is to look at Display Tab and see what graphics chipset you have, if it's an onboard/igp type, you are out of luck until you get a hardware graphics card installed into you machine.
