I need to get rid of a failed XP Pro install!
I have a new gateway gx7422 laptop with xp home installed. My son tried to install xp pro it ended up in a windows2 directory and would not boot. I modified the boot.ini to boot to xp home, this works fine no problems.
My QUESTION is can I just delete the windows2 directory and edit the Boot.ini file to get rid of the XP PRO install?
If something else is needed could you direct me to an info source.

Yes. You can delete the Windows2 directory.
