Requiem & DirectX 6!
This is a discussion about Requiem & DirectX 6! in the Windows Games category; The NTcompatible list says that Requiem runs fin under Windows 2000. However, when I install it on my machine I get an error message saying, DirectX 6 or later required. As Windows 2000 has DirectX 7.
The NTcompatible list says that Requiem runs fin under Windows 2000. However, when I install it on my machine I get an error message saying, "DirectX 6 or later required".
As Windows 2000 has DirectX 7.1 I don't understand the problem!
Any ideas . . . anyone?

Try apcompat.exe (is in \support on Win2K CD)

OP
Sorry I wasn't clear enough in the first note. I can install it fine - the error message comes up when I try and run the game (the message comes up regardless of which of the three possible executable files you use).
Any thoughts?
