You might also look at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom key
the value of 1 turns it on 0 is off
the value of 1 turns it on 0 is off

Yes thankyou. But I am aware of the key regarding autorun for cd-rom drives my main problem concerns content type handlers.

Thankyou the information here looks quite technical, I will go through it thourghly when I am less tired.
Download X-Setup 6.5 Pro beta from http://www.x-setup.net/ -- it can fix your problem and you can even add your own handlers.
