I started and played the game, saved here and there and wondered why i can´t see the save. As i first time tried to load a save i was surprised i couldn´t load because it says leon save 0. Ok, this problem is old.

I visited this forum searched for the problem and found severel ways do fix it. Now i can see the save when i have 95 or 98 compatible mode on and the save is in the Main folder C:\

Now here comes the problem. Whenever i use 95 or 98 compatible mode, the game crashes when i try to save or load at any time in the game. All graphic settings i tried out ( and i tried out a lot) didn´t change anything

Without compatible mode i can´t see my save file.
With compatible mode i can see it, but the game crashes while saving or loading.

Does anyone has any idea how to fix that? Does anyone know how i can avoid the crash while compatible mode is on, or how i can see the save without compatible mode on?

Note: I can´t deinstall SP2

Do you have Windows 9x CDs anymore?
If you do, try setup virtual pc / vmware environment and run the game in there.

VMware Player and VMware Server are free and you can download them from: http://www.vmware.com/download/

OP
Of course you are right. Why trouble myself with this unsolveable problem when i can easily avoid it. Should have thought of it on myself. With virtual pc and Win 98 the game works without any kind of problem. Thx
