RIO Riot

OK, is this the worst idea they could come up with, or what? The idea of using Flash RAM in an audio player is that it is solid state. That means that, since there are no moving parts, getting bumped or moved will not cause the music to skip.

OK, is this the worst idea they could come up with, or what? The idea of using Flash RAM in an audio player is that it is solid state. That means that, since there are no moving parts, getting bumped or moved will not cause the music to skip. They are also much more durable. Why would you want to put a hard drive in one? Not only does it make the player larger, but you've gotten rid of half of the reason of getting an audio player. I don't care how much anti-skip buffer you stick on it, it's going to skip. And it's also a bad idea to bounce a hard drive around. This thing is going to die the third time you go jogging with it. Rio must be trying to win the "Most Asinine Product of the Year" award.
