Browsing with IE 5.5 nothing more.
Try:
Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced
Untick "Display a notification about every script error" and tick "Disable script debugging".
If this works then the reason you've been seeing those error messages is that you've been visiting websites that were written by a two-year old (ie. it's a javascript error). Nothing wrong with Windows or your browser.
