Well folks in the course of doing some work on my wife's 2000 machine I created a new account for her and without thinking have misplaced all her mail messages, sent and received. Needless to say she was not blessed. The obvious question is, is there a way to either recover the old account or mail. I cannot find them anywhere I have scoured her drives including the documents and settings folder to no avail. I will be eternally grateful to anyone who knows how to resolve this if there ia a way.
Thank Yooooooo!!!!!
Greg

Are you using outlook express? Im not sure how much of a help this will be but if you load up outlook express, tools -> Options -> Maintenance -> Store Folder, that shows you the location of the stored email messages. It might help you track them down as they should still be there in the other account (providing you havent deleted it). Then its just a matter of copying them accross. You have to have hidden files visible to view this however so make sure thats ticked if you want to try this.

Enable the viewing of Hidden files and folders and goto C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Info\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Identities and there should be one folder. All your mail messages are in those files and I think the account settings are too.
