[low tone on]
hum...I see...
you seem to have a OEM version of the DVDPlayer wich are somehow crippled since enabling some of the audio options require licensing.

(I like that when I speak like a doctor, it just sounds funny)
SO...
get DVDGenie.
it allows you to select different speakers setup in winDVD and many other.

It sure will help!

Checked that .. Its a full version of both programs.

4 Speaker sound DID work under Window 98 with the same programs and the same sound card, using Liveware 3

Hey Ben, I have the same prob. I have Win2k and Liveware3 (SB1024). I guess is PowerDVD's problem, it may not be fully compatible with Win2k. We'll have to wait until Cyberlink releases another version of PowerDVD or Creative releases Liveware3. For now, we'll have to watch movies in Win98.

hmm...i've been using powerdvd 2.55 and windvd 2.2.92, and the sound settings were grayed out as well (and in windvd set to 2 speakers), but i did get sound from all my 4 speakers anyway, even w/o using dvdgenie tweaks...
