SBLive + Volume problems

This is a discussion about SBLive + Volume problems in the Windows Hardware category; Well, I am running winXP corporate ed however I have quite a large problem. The amount of volume which the system is producing, is basically none. It is so quiet that even on maximum settings, it is not even 20% as loud as it is in Win2000, and I had the settings all on 25% there.

Well, I am running winXP corporate ed however I have quite a large problem. The amount of volume which the system is producing, is basically none. It is so quiet that even on maximum settings, it is not even 20% as loud as it is in Win2000, and I had the settings all on 25% there. I have installed the updated sblive driver but this has not done much, and have fiddled with most sound options there actually is and still, the sound volume is stupidly low. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

ditto

I have the same thing. Luckily my headphones have an extra volume control to boost it a bit, but I would still like my volume back

EDIT: I also have a sort of echoey sound going on which I dislike.

OP
Well, I took out my SBlive 5.1 and threw in a old value I have lying around, and what do you know. Fixed.

Dodgy! Powers of MS and creative combined, fear.

It is really quite worrying that winXP is doing things such as these. It should be better than win2000, not worse (and win2000 wasnt exactly great either)>

Oh well.
