This is a discussion about Scanner Problems in the Windows Games category; I am suddenly getting a message when I try to use my scanner that it cannot be initialized because the scanner cannot be found. What can be casuing this to suddenly occur and how can I fix it? I have tried everything I know to do.

Uninstall the scanner. Reboot, install the scanner, reboot.
If that doesn't work, unplug the scanner, then plug it back in(computer off), then boot up.
