screen resolution wont change on lappy?

I have a HP Compaq Evo NX 9005 laptop with a Radeon IGP 320M Graphics Card in it but i cant get the resolution to go any better than 1024 x 768 anyone got any idea if it is possible to change it? thanks RF

laptop resolutions are usually fixed at their max possible res. In your case 1024x768. Laptops can interpolate lower resolutions, but cannot go higher than their max/fixed res.

i think i have discovered that my screen is XGA which means that i cant go any higher than 1024x768

that is your screens max size then - laptops rarely go above 1024 x 768 and LCDs are a fixed resolution of 60 or 70mhz.
