"Security" isn't working in XP like it was in 2k
This is a discussion about "Security" isn't working in XP like it was in 2k in the Windows Software category; I like to lock certain stuff out & can't in XP but I could in 2k (yes I am in the admin account). I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the Security section working like it was in win2k. Thanks for your time folks.

Are you rning XP home edition?
they took it out.
To get it back, merely boot into safe mode, and the security tab wil reappear for file and folder permisisons.

If running Pro version in workgroup mode, try clearing the "Use Simple File Sharing" checkbox in explorer's properties (Tools > Folder Options > View).

OP
I'm using XP Corp which is a slightly modified version of Pro. That tip fixed it though, thanks fellas.
XP Pro and XP Pro Corp are the same, with the exception of activation. Now, if it's some w4rez version, then it's probably more modified than you'd ever know...
