Setting up a program as a Service
This is a discussion about Setting up a program as a Service in the Windows Software category; I would like to set up Genome to run as a service on my machine, but I've never done it in Win2k. I learned how to do it in Win9x last week, but that was pathetically easy, Win2k has a lot more services, and the registry is designed much differently in the service department.

I have two instances of Genome I want to set up, the program is set in two different directories, now all I want is for them to both run at startup, regardless of whether someone is logged in or not.
Thanks in advance for the help. I know it's not too hard to do

The main thing I need to know is what the reg keys look like. In win9x the key was just the path of the program, but i'm confused here.
get a program called firedaemon it will let any program run as an NT service. www.firedaemon.com
