Setting up server for IP printing in 2000, how to?

I have a Windows 2000 print server with a Lexmark 4039, which I need to set up so that other machines in the office can IP print to it. I installed the TCP/IP printer sharing service, but other machines can't print to it when configured to use its IP addy.

On the other machines, create a new TCP port and point the IP to the printer.
if all fails.
just map LPT to the IP specified, with net use command. (this is temporary makeshift solution)

SEE THAT YOU CAN ACCESS THE MAIN SERVER FROM OTHER NODES (MACHINES).
IF U CAN ACCESS THEN GIVE SHARING TO THE PRINTER WITH A VALID NAME.
THEN FROM THE NODES INSTALL NETWORK PRINTERS, IT SHOULD SHOW YOU THE NAME OF THE SHARED PRINTER. SO YOU CAN INSTALL IT.

IF U R UNABLE TO CONNECT THE MAIN SERVER THEN,ENABLE SHARING OF YOUR BOOTABLE DRIVE ON WHICH U HAVE YOUR OS INSTALLED.
