Sharing Violation when deleting files........

This is a discussion about Sharing Violation when deleting files........ in the Windows Software category; Sometimes when I try to delete a folder I JUST created, it'll say sharing violation. . . . . and won't let me delete it. . . . . . even after a reboot, i still can't delete the folder? i'm log'd on as administrator also and it's not even shared.

Sometimes when I try to delete a folder I JUST created, it'll say sharing violation..... and won't let me delete it...... even after a reboot, i still can't delete the folder? i'm log'd on as administrator also and it's not even shared.... well the whole drive is shared, but even with no computers accessing the server (the one with windows 2000) i can't delete that folder...... some help please???

I had the same Exact Problem. I went into Services and Disabled Norton Anti Virus Auto Protect and everything worked just fine. Make sure you disable your anti virus's auto protect feature, as it somehow puts a lock on almost ALL files!
