Shogun Total War in XP
This is a discussion about Shogun Total War in XP in the Windows Games category; Any one esle struggled with Shogun Total War under XP? Am finding it launches and runs, but when I get into a battle it hangs and the mouse won't move, then after a delay (a long delay) it suddenly catches up.

Am finding it launches and runs, but when I get into a battle it hangs and the mouse won't move, then after a delay (a long delay) it suddenly catches up. It is impossible to play.

I'd start with how much RAM do you have total, and how much is available when you run the game?
I have 256 MB RAM on my laptop, and as I was nearing Shogun status, with a few thousand warriors on each side, even I had a slowdown in battle play.
