should my CPU always be running at 100% when im playing a game, jw cuz i have a thread about my comp always locking up and was wondering if it should be like that. .

Some new games and programs just bring the older (and sometimes newer) computers to their knees.

Try shutting down/disabling background programs, e.g. instant messaging software, while you play games. This will give some more processor time to game.
