Sidewinder Game Pad Pro: Pad Programming Question
I am looking for advice on the Game Pad Pro. Microsoft is impossible to get help from, so this looked like a good forum to try. Many of my games use the Up, Down, Left, & Right cursor buttons to control the character.

Many of my games use the Up, Down, Left, & Right cursor buttons to control the character. But the pad doesn't directly link into these buttons. Standard & Proportional game pad settings do nothing because they don't reflect input from the 4 directional buttons.
If I want my control pad to reflect the 4 directional buttons, I have to manually program all 8 possible directions. This is a HORRIBLE way to have the game pad work as I had to spend tedious time creating macros to reflect the diagonal directions, & manually type in the amount of time those macros played and hope that it all came out smoothly. The resulting clumsy movement in all 8 directions is impresice at best, usually closer to disastrous. It makes fighting games impossible.
Does anyone know a solution to this astonishing oversight? Or another programmable controller that solves this problem? It makes this controller virtually useless to me and after wrestling w/ it all this time I can't even believe this product exists.
Any help at all is appreciated. Thanx!
