Sidewinder Help

I have an Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad, the gameport one, and bought a USB to Gameport adapter, so I thought it would work on my new PC. Turns out it doesnt, and the Sidewinder doesnt have any drivers for it to run on XP.

XP does have a driver built in, goto Start, Settings, Control Panel, Game Controllers, click Add and select 'Microsoft Sidewinder (Auto Detect)' from the list.
Otherwise I suggest getting a USB version.
