Sidewinder Precision 2 Software ????? HELP

This is a discussion about Sidewinder Precision 2 Software ????? HELP in the Windows Hardware category; windows reconises the joystick but whenever i go to install the sofwear it says it cannot tell if the usb is connected can anyone help i am baffled

Do other USB devices work?
 
Are you sure USB is enabled in the BIOS?
 
I have mine working on Win2k without issue

yes the joystick even works ingame i just cant install the software to edit the buttons that arnt used
