Sims 2 Transfer file problem
I am having problems installing Sims 2. I put in Disk 1 with no problems and when I put in Disk 2 an error comes up: A problem has occurred when trying to transfer the file: TSData\Res\Sims3D\Objects09.

What does this mean and how can I fix it!. I tried Disk 2 on my other computer and it works. Do I need to have a DVD player on the computer?
Thanks

I am still having problems with the Sims 2 file transfer message
Is this the DVD version of The Sims 2?
Usually if one CD Drive can transfer the file and another one cannot then that means that the CD drive that cannot transfer the file is obviously bad. In those cases I usually yank out the drive, open it up and blow it out.
You could:
1. Check the CD for scratches/smudges. Clean it.
2. Copy the contents of the CD to your hard drive and install from there.
3. http://www.cdspeed2000.com/go.php3?link=download.html Download NeroDriveSpeed and slow down your CD drive. (Slowing it down will enable it to read the CD better.
4. Blow out the CD drive with compressed air.
