Sims Hot Date/Win XP/ invalid win32 application

I've installed Sims HotDate but when i run it I get an error message saying C:\Program. . . \Sims. exe is not a valid Win32 Application. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think its cause the.
I'm running on Windows Xp. I've installed Sims HotDate but when i run it I get an error message saying "C:\Program...\Sims.exe is not a valid Win32 Application". Correct me if I'm wrong but I think its cause the .exe is too old for Xp. Just a thought...

Or this could mean that the file is corrupted.
Try reinstalling the game.

ummm.... yeah i knew that. Actually....no. I didn't know that hehehe...oh boy am i dumb. ok so once i get the original what do i do?
Well, after you have installed the orginal sims, then you install hot date. This upgrades orginal to hot date.
