Slow browsing the Network Neighborhood
This is a discussion about Slow browsing the Network Neighborhood in the Windows Networking category; Is it just me or is XP a little bit slow browsing the computers in Network Neighborhood. Is there a way to speed up the process? Right now, when I click on View Workgroup computers in Network Neighborhood, it takes like 5-10 seconds to show the computers in my workgroup.
Is it just me or is XP a little bit slow browsing the computers in Network Neighborhood. Is there a way to speed up the process? Right now, when I click on "View Workgroup computers" in Network Neighborhood, it takes like 5-10 seconds to show the computers in my workgroup. In Windows 98 and Win2k this process is a little faster, especially in Windows 98. Then when I click on a computer in my workgroup, it takes awhile to see the folders shared on that computer too.
