Slow file copy over network

I have XP Pro and a WIN 2000 server on my home network. (there is one other machine as well). In the past, when I copied a file from my XP machine to the server, the copy time was very fast. Lately, I have noticed that it has slowed on the order of 100 to 200 times or more.

Lately, I have noticed that it has slowed on the order of 100 to 200 times or more. I file copy that used to take seconds will now take minutes. I have pinged the server and the communication times are still fast. I feel it is likely a software or setting issue, but am not sure what to check next.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

Check your TCP/IP addresses in the permission's area of your firewall. Depending on your firewall, you can have it lookup a computer on the network. There are times that, for whatever reason, after rebooting, that a computer will have multiple addresses.
