Software to virus scan a hard drive offline (NTFS)?

Does such a thing exist? I tried ntfsdos but there is not enough memory to run ntfsdos and virus scan at the same time. .

How much memory do you have? F-Prot for DOS is pretty small and free iirc.
Btw, couldn't you just connect your HD to another PC and scan it there?

OP
I can put it in another machine and scan it, but that's the whole point, the desire to scan it without having to take it out and ut in another pc.
