I've been trying to get Command and COnquer to work but an IPX dll crashes the prog. This wasn't the same prob with Red Alert was it?
OP
No it isn't the same problem
Command & conquer doesn't work for me too and it crash with a kernel error
I have this problem too first with Red Alert
but the 1.08 patch resolve this. I don't find any patch for C&C (95 version)

Anyone know what Frip means by this? I'm assuming to have IgnoreException checked in QFixApp, but what does the "-->" mean?

"-->" = "-->" - I think he was trying to be sneaky by using the HTML code for ">", and the board one-upped him and used the HTML code for the "&"....
In the compatibility toolkit there is a utility called qfixapp... to use it you need to select the program you're trying to run, the check the box for the appropriate fix (given by the dll names above)

Ah, so the "gt" must be "greater than".
I was wondering if it was some strange modifier for the command line, but had never heard of a double-hyphened modifier/extension.
Should've known with the ampersand and the semicolon that Frip was attempting an HTML character. ;(
Thanks for the info!
(and, ya, I know about QFixApp. A great utility I use often.)
