Hello
I need to figure out if i should return some of my hardware, cause i am having quite a bit of problems with win2k and graphics errors
i have Asus K7M m/b
Athalon 750 mhz
Asus v6800 geforce
any driver besides 3.66 gives me huge headaches...
anything after 3.66 and before 5.13 (eg. 3.79, 3.81) crashes randomly in desktop while moving the mouse around...
5.13 is ok in desktop, but crashes ocassionally in games.
3.66 is only driver that seems to work fine in both areas.
i saw a post below that recomends the microstar m.b...should i give back my mb? or is it the asus v6800?
or should i just wait for another driver release? thanks!

Many reports of the A CPU are related the Power supply, try a real juicy and stable one.
I think that you should probably wait for another driver release. I have a K7M, with a Matrox G400, and while I've had a few problems, generally the motherboard has been very stable. Try upgrading to the latest K7m bios (1008 - avalible on Asus' website - http//www.asus.com) I know that there have been many problems with Nvidia Win 2000 drivers.

OP
I have a 300 W power supply
got it especially cause of the athalon and k7m
so its not that...and i do have the 1008 bios....
sigh...i guess drivers is the culprit...but if so what is such a huge difference between 3.66 and everything else that causes all these crashes?
