Soul Reaver doesn't work on WinXP Pro
This is a discussion about Soul Reaver doesn't work on WinXP Pro in the Windows Games category; I can't get soul reaver (I'm talking about the first one) to work on WinXP. The game crashes the second I double click on kain2. exe. I don't even get an error message, windows just aks me if I want to report the error.
I can't get soul reaver (I'm talking about the first one) to work on WinXP. The game crashes the second I double click on kain2.exe. I don't even get an error message, windows just aks me if I want to report the error. i have tried running it in compatibility mode for all sorts of windows, but no luck. The 1.2 patch didn't work either. I really love this game and I'm willing to install win98 in another partition if it won't work otherwise, but if anyone can save me the trouble, I'd be grateful.

The crash has to do with the copy protection. you can try downloading a safedisk V2 unrapper. That is what worked for me...
