Sound Issues

When playing mp3s in Winamp, when there is the smallest bit of disk activity, the playback stutters, not too much but it is noticable. It did not do this with ME but when I upgraded to XP, the problem was noticed.

Two friends of mine have the same problems but they are using Creative cards (1024 Live!, i think) as opposed to the on-board sound i am using from my M7VKX m-board

Anyone got any ideas?

or a VIA motherboard.. as far as I know, the new drivers solve all the problems known with the SB range of cards (though you have to for abit for the new drivers to be available for some models of the card).
