Sound Problems - Static

I'm haveing a problem with sound, one minute it was fine, now i am getting static now and then. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks Acid 800Mgz Athlon 256mb SDRAM SoundBlaster Live! Value Geforce 2 MX.
