This is a discussion about Speedup your Internet Connection & also increase securit in the Windows Security category; Just decided to drop a note to say i have done all the registry tweaks you listed above. Works great, i do notice web pages load 20-30% faster, downloads ~10% faster. . . , hey every little bit counts on a modem-dialup connection > Lucent 33.

The speedup tweaks works great for me, performance increase especially in dload speeds is very noticable. This is so useful for unfortunate dial-up users like me
Oh another ques.
After applying tweaks, sites like microsoft load really fast but when i ping microsoft.com, i get all request timed out. Why? Is it due to the ICMP redirect tweak?

Phew!! I must surely apologize to u AlecStaar for not noticing the links, what a splendid collection of resources. Sites like these are hard to find, i have done lots of searches on the search engines-7 or 8 of 10 sites that i checked out aren't really dependable to say the least.
Isen't there a software you can download that will speed up your connection??
