standby problem in windows xp

i´ve the hibernate function working very well , but in previous versions the standby function was a fast way to me to put the pc sleeping , now in xp when i use the standby and want to return the screen just turns black and neither the keyboard or mouse can put it to work , i must click my pc reset button to see an ...

this is a known problem in XP. I dont know if it has to do with the board not getting the right wakeup signal or what. Check the front page i believe i just saw a patch for this problem posted on there a few days back.

Yes, there was a Pre-SP2 patch that addressed this issue, run Windows Update.

i use ms baseline security analizer
and all the patchs that it tels me to
update i´ve already done so .
but i´ll search on ms knowledge base

no , but my pc hibernates juste fine
and i would like to have 1gb ram ,
the standby fuction is the problem
