Starting Service with Batch file

This is a discussion about Starting Service with Batch file in the Windows Networking category; Is it possible to start a service with a batch file that could be placed in say a login script? If it is. . . could you explain to me. . . and point me to a FAQ on login scripts? thanks Ancker Jade.

Go to start/run/cmd
 
Then type in net start "service" or net "stop" service.
