sticky games

This is a discussion about sticky games in the Windows Games category; in all the games i've so far installed (q3, aquanox, serious sam: se, tribes 2, ut), the controls are jacked up. if i press too many keys at once, the last-pressed key will stick. . . that is, if i hold back, then hold forward, then let go of the back button, i'll keep going forward even if i let go of the button.

in all the games i've so far installed (q3, aquanox, serious sam: se, tribes 2, ut), the controls are jacked up. if i press too many keys at once, the last-pressed key will "stick"... that is, if i hold "back", then hold "forward", then let go of the "back" button, i'll keep going forward even if i let go of the button. this happens in all my games, btw.

this is REALLY pissing me off, so if anyone could help me i would greatly appreciate it.

Make sure your running SP2. I thought this was only a problem with the initial release of 2000.

I not sure if either of these are the problems, but on the off chance it helps:

I've noticed similar problems if I run UT in realtime. Try running the games in "normal" process priority, if you're currently running them above this setting.

I've also noticed similar problems in UT with DirectInput selected under options>perferences>input, so deselect it if it's selected (and of course, turn off mouse acceleration in your windows mouse control panel).
