Had a power outage a few weeks ago and it killed my dell 5100. It will not start in windows in any mode. . . . Ive tried them all. It always ends up with the blue screen reading.

Ok. Im computer literate but not this much! Had a power outage a few weeks ago and it killed my dell 5100. It will not start in windows in any mode....Ive tried them all.

ntfs.sys- address F766c1FC base at F765F000, datestamp 41107eea
 
Is there anyway to do this myself. For 2 reasons. 1 to learn more about computer workings and 2 to save myself the money for something that could be an easy fix! All iss appreciated and thanks in advance!

hardware failure, improper installation. reformat your hard-drive with a dos boot disk and then try re-installing with your OS or recovery CD.
