strange profile
This is a discussion about strange profile in the Everything New Technology category; hi, i am using a windows 2000 pro computer with computer name as steve recently i found a a steve$ folder under C:\Documents and Settings\ folder of my computer. does anyone know what this is? is my computer being hacked? Thanks.

There should be a corresponding user with the name steve under that parent folder. In fact all users that have logged onto that machine should have their own sub-folder with their user name. You're positive that the user "Steve" is actually not user "Steve$" ?!?
